Repair & Restoration

Repair Before a Single Coat of Paint

Drywall, plaster, stucco, and masonry repaired the right way, so the paint going on top actually holds. Paint doesn't hide damage, it highlights it.

What We Repair

Six repair specialties, one crew

Drywall Installation & Repair

New drywall hung and finished, or existing holes and cracks patched, sanded, and blended until the repair disappears once it's painted.

Plaster Repair

Cracked or crumbling plaster stabilized and repaired to match the surrounding wall, a common need in Metro Detroit's older homes.

Stucco Installation & Repair

Stucco cracks filled and sealed, with texture matched to blend into the surrounding wall before paint goes on.

Wood Rot Repair

Soft, rotted, or water-damaged wood trim and siding cut out and replaced before paint goes anywhere near it.

Tuck Pointing

Deteriorated mortar joints repointed to keep brick and block walls structurally sound and weather-tight.

Baseboard & Crown Molding Installation

New trim installed, or damaged baseboard and crown molding replaced and finished to match the rest of the room.

FAQ

Repair & restoration questions

Can you match my existing wall texture?
In most cases, yes. We match orange peel, knockdown, smooth, and common stucco textures so the repair blends into the surrounding surface.
Do repairs need to cure before painting?
Yes. Drywall compound, plaster, and stucco patches need time to cure fully before priming and painting, which we build into your project timeline.
Is tuck pointing something you do on its own, or only with painting?
Tuck pointing, wood rot repair, and trim installation can all stand on their own. Most clients pair repair work with paint since a fresh repair often stands out against older paint nearby.
What's included in my quote?
Every written estimate spells out the repair scope, materials, and total price before we start, so there's no guessing what's covered.
What's your warranty on repair work?
Yes. Roca's Painting provides a one-year workmanship warranty covering application-related issues such as peeling or improper adhesion. Normal weathering and deterioration of the underlying surface are excluded.
